Dental Caries Can Cause Kidney Disease, Heart and Other

In addition to causing structural damage to the teeth, caries can cause health problems such as pain, tooth loss, infection and various other diseases. Dental caries is a disease that destroys the tooth structure. In the mouth there are many bacteria. These bacteria can convert food, especially sugar into acid. Collaboration between bacteria, acid, food scraps and saliva to form plaque attached to the tooth surface. Plaque layer formed 20 minutes after eating. Acid in plaque causes dental hard tissues dissolved and there was caries.

Caries is characterized by the existence of holes in the hard tissue of teeth, can be brown or black. Cavities usually do not feel pain until the hole is getting bigger and the nervous system of the tooth. On caries enough in, usually a complaint that is often perceived patient is feeling pain when exposed to heat stimuli, cold or sweet.
If allowed, the caries will increase in size and can reach the pulp room, the cavity in the tooth that contains nerve tissue and blood vessels. When it reaches the pulp room, there will be an inflammatory process that causes the throbbing pain. Over time, bacterial infections can cause tissue death in the room pulp and infection can spread to tissues supporting the teeth. Germs that infect the pulp, if left unchecked will enter the blood stream and attacks the organs of the weak that cause other diseases such as kidney, heart, and many more.
